Granite surveys and designs all aspects of substation and feeder routes, using documented management processes across Independent Connections, Primary Major Projects, and HV Contracting. These ensure quality standards, assign qualified staff to designs, and require thorough checks before approval. Staff are trained according to our selection and development procedures.
We deliver full network design for underground installations, cable laying and jointing across LV and HV systems, and asset installation including substations. Our teams manage the complete scope of construction works, ensuring safe and compliant delivery from groundworks through to energisation.

Safety is integral to our substation projects. Our experienced staff manage all aspects of testing, commissioning, and safety documentation, including protection relays and HV switchgear. Senior Authorised Personnel oversee works for Distribution Network Operators and other clients, ensuring compliance and operational safety.
